JR is widely recognized for his extensive choreography work with Jennifer Lopez, where he served as her head choreographer, shaping the vision for her stage shows, commercials, music videos, and notably choreographed her highly successful world tour, Dance Again. His exceptional talent was acknowledged with two MTV Video Music Awards nominations for Best Choreography, first in 2012 for J. Lo's "Dance Again," and again in 2013 for "Live It Up." Notably, his collaboration with Jennifer Lopez extended beyond choreography, affording him the opportunity to write and produce a song for her album, AKA.
